Puzzlewood is an ancient woodland site, near Coleford in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England. The site, covering 14 acres, shows evidence of open cast iron ore mining dating from the Roman period, and possibly earlier.
In 1848 some workmen, after moving a block of stone in the woods, found a small cavity in the rocks. In this cavity, hidden away, were three earthenware jars containing over 3,000 Roman coins. No-one knows why the coins were hidden away in the cliff face nor by whom.
J. R. R. Tolkien, a frequent visitor to the Forest of Dean, may have visited Puzzlewood, and many believe Puzzlewood was the inspiration for the fabled forests of Middle-earth, such as the Old Forest, Mirkwood, Fangorn or Lothlórien contained within The Lord of the Rings. J.K Rowling is also said to have visited Puzzlewood, and it may have been this that influenced her idea of The Forbidden Forest in the Harry Potter books.

This is Jack Hamm’s entire section on folds, minus a page that was repetitive so I ditched it to fit the photoset limit. If you guys like, I’ll scan more of his stuff from time to time, I have been trying to get everyone on board with him forever!
To reiterate, these scans are from Jack Hamm’s Drawing The Head And Figure.
Thank you so much mariealbertine for submitting this! :»!

This has the same info in it as before except for one extra point.
Anyways, again, these are all self-observed notes! I don’t study art or whatever! And I highly suggest you look at different pictures of faces and practice this to have a better understanding.

“If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”
- Bruce Lee
Bruce is widely beloved now, but remember, folks, that this was the man whom Hollywood considered incapable of carrying a “leading man” role, much to his frustration. The Kung Fu television series was stolen from him and recast with a white man as lead, and Bruce was forced to wear a mask and act as a servant in The Green Hornet. Lee was only able to do his own thing by producing movies in China. Even today, I don’t think Bruce would be given a chance in Hollywood as leading man, because I still don’t really see East Asian leading men on TV or at the theater.
